Dunno why, but every time i go to the Bridge district, my comp crashes. It never used to, ive tried reseting all the graphical functions, AI off etc. Ant ideas would be appreciated as this has now happened 17 times on the trot

Well I have Xtreme problems with getting from the Saughim city to the Undeerdark without my comp. crashing

pray for five minutes every day, that microsoft will be erased from existence. it wont help your problem, but if enough people do it, it might just happen.

seriously, this sounds like a corrupted file. either some nice chap with a lot of time on his hands can post the code for the bridge district, or you can re-install the game (remember to back-up save games first).

if you have any third-party mods installed you may wish to try removing them to see if that helps.

it may be that the bridge map file is corrupted in the Baldurs CACHE/DATA subdirectory. If the file is in there Baldurs ][ *won't* read it from the CD and if it's corrupted you experience crashes. This is usually indicated if crashes are limited to one particular map.

First run SCANDISK and have it fix any problems, then DEFRAG your disk. Finally delete all the files from the CACHE/DATA subdirectory and restart Baldurs ][.
