Can you get past level 20? ES3

It says I can't get better than I already am but I can get worse. Can I die of old Age in this game? If so maybe I should get a move on and complete the main objectives instead of running around doing task for people and smelling the roses.

I am doing the third prophecy NE of the red mountain looking for two pillars. I really hate this area as there are no nearby towns to sell my loot.

You can get past level 20, yes. The max level is 70-someting but here are ways to overcome even this. If you yo, the max level is 65000-something I've been told.

You can't die of old age.

To sell your loot as quick as possible, buy the spells Mark, Recall and Almsivi/Divine Intervention. Just cast Mark to mark your current location, use any of the Intervention spells to teleport back to a temple (there's bound to be shops near) and once you've done you shopping use Recall to return to your marked location.

I believe rings (or was it amulets?) of Mark and Recall are given as rewards from the Mage Guild, and can also be found as random loot.

Someone on the official board got as far as level 500 something. The max level is 65535 = FFFF if I'm not mistaken.

Cool!!! I just got the one ring, yesssss my precious. Now at level 21 so I obviously can get past level 20. I am using a crusader in this game. I started over from the fighter by answering the questions and ended up with a Crusader as my second start was not going as planned either. I have 100 points in mace, and 99 in long sword, may work on axes next. Just so I can have a variety of weapons, for the tougher creatures I use what I am good at. Just curious, can you obtain more than 100 points in a skill? I feel you can't but am not entirely sure the skills seem to be based on a % factor with 100 being the highest.

You can only train up your skills to 100 points, but items, spells and potions can give a additional bonus that can go above 100.

Now you know something about hex. If you got a hex editor. You can peak through your savegame files. You will see something like this

FF FF 51 64 00 00 00 00 E0 A0 12 31 BA 51 00 00

Now the first 2.

FF FF 51 64 00 00 00 00 E0 A0 12 31 BA 51 00 00

governs your money in the game. FF FF = 65535. Your money will never go past 65535 because the game developer have set that the first 2 governs your money and FF FF is the maximum hexadecimal number . If your first 2 is A0 11. Your money in the game is 40977. You of course can still increase your money up to max 65535. After that don't bother increasing your money.

Yeah, if you have an hex editor. you can easily edit your savegame to have your character lots of money, hp, mana, stats, skill etc.
