Many interesting things have been happening lately. I have found thier new website and the class and races possible.

from what i can tell:

you start from two cities either qeynos or freeport

qeynos being good or freeport being evil

the race you pick depends on your starting city either qeynos or freeport nothing else.

barbarian: good
dark elf: evil
dwarf: good
erudite: good/evil
foglok: good
troll: evil
ogre: evil
gnome: good/neutral/evil
halfelf: good/neutral
halfling: good/neutral
highelf: good
human: good/neutral/evil
iskar: evil
kerran: good/neutral
ratonga: evil
troll: evil
wood elf: good

neutral can be either city

now the new thing is here that any race can be any class and you go up by tree

you start as commoner and work you way up:

check it out here

*oh yeah you can actually earn houses now and can have transportation like horses now.

cool!

From the screenshot the graphic looks like a big improvement from EQ1. However,I'm not too sure whether I can play this on a 56k modem.

they do say that they are making it so that 56k modem users can have a "satisfactory" connection
