How-dee all

Ive been a long time wanderer here since way back when BG1 came and im finally looking for a answer that just baffles my mind.

Is there a way to get haste for a monk after the TOB upgrade, i cannot seem to get her /multi-play with my swashbuckler - hasted in any form even the haste potion are greyed out in the invetory slots.

Well im finally going to finish Bg2 after a 8 months and i sorely miss my monk all cracked up on haste.
Any suggestions as to what i can do to keep that abilty for the monk?

Next im going to fool around with the editer once i find that haste cloak again, and see if i can super buff my female monk if it will work.

Ummmm...dude...Monks aren't supposed to get hasted. They're already pretty darn fast and really shouldn't need haste by the time you hit TOB.

That's right a monk's natural speed is like being hasted.

actualy they start substantialy faster than normal, and end up superhuman. like all classes, they get better as time goes on. also like all classes, they have weaknesses - ie immunity to haste.

I think its a fair trade off, not being hastable when they are already hasted effectivly but being immune to slow.

I don't care what anyone says, monks are the best class. So what no magic, they have up to 78% magic resistance, plus ur amulets and such. Combined with ring of the gaax and protection plus 2, and skilled in one handed weapons, your already deadly with a kick@$$ ac, awesome thaco, and plus your other items, you rock!!!!!!

With the Ring of Gaxx, Gauntlets of Smiting from the Suhuagin King, and The Girdle of Frost giant strength, the monk becomes a deadly fast killing machine! Forget about wielded weapons - just put on those gauntlets and the girdle and slap someone silly! And don't forget that monks can use all of the wands in the game! So you have cloudkill, fireball, ligntning bolt and a few other nasty tricks at your disposal! Without a doubt, its one of my favorite classes!

I would tend to keep a flame sword or flail of the ages handy for trolls with a monk. i know you can get a wand of fire, but that can run out at critical moments.

Well my monk rules all, he got a Ninja-to that is only for monks, with poison, that kills the trolls Bus use a monk with th gountles mentiond over, and reamember that its no problem to get a monk over 100%mg resist. Mine stopped at 127% :/
Beholders are fun, byt those pesky Elder orbs cast imprisonment(the only spel that ignores MG resist I think)

Anyway, he got -13 AC and a wild speed(faster that aste and boots of speed) only one are faster, and thats my ranger with an armor that works like boots of speed, and 2 items that both give him +2 speed. hmmmz not shure if even he is faster when I think about it
