GIGANTIC Bat

I saw that huge bat in Trynton, and my hint book says I will have to fight it, but I have never managed to get to it. Its always flying far away and then once I turn towards it, it flaps off into the mist. Has anyone ever fought it? It scared the bejeesus out of me the first time I saw it, barely visible in the mist.

My guess is you'll face it later in the game since it appears each town/area requires multiple visits in the game.

You can fight it by clicking on it, then doing the START COMBAT button and cast a spell at it...

I do not think you need to fight it altough your party members will spot it most of the time as an incoming hostile. You can always initiate combat with it through spells or spell-effect items. I think range combat wiil work too if it fly close enough.

BTW, don't put much stock in anything that hintbook says. It's not worth the paper it is written on -- much of it has incorrect information and even the maps are wrong, from what I hear. (I didn't waste money on it after I heard a number of people griping about the inaccuracies)

You can get much more accurate info from the various forums on the web because we've all actually PLAYED the game. Sometimes numerous times. [img]smile.gif[/img]
