BG --> BG2

...as far as i know it is possible to take your BG-Character into BG2. Will you be able to select a new subclass ? (e.g. if you have an BG Paladin will you be able to turn him into a knight ?). what if you were playing TotSC ? will you char be leveled down ?

AFAIK you can't choose a new kit for a character you import. You can only choose a kit for a character you create in BGII. I'm not sure about the experience question.

you get to keep your experience from TotSC, as well as a few items, if your lucky. one special item you will always get to keep, but its part of a secret so i wont tell what it is.
