the monst001.dat to monst127.dat (from the monster zip file in the d/l section) wont import... I unzipped them into a monster subdirectory of DC, i go into the editor, i click import databse, click import monsters.dat and then i click on one of the files and it says failed.. though it says save not open when i'm trying to select the .dat file, either way i cant get it to load any of them...
if anyone could e-mail me, cause i'm either doing it wrong, or missing something simple...

I will make the import dialogs more clear about this.

The database import is for files saved by DC - exported monsters, items, spells.

The UA monster DAT files should be imported using the menu File->Import, select monsters, check the 'All in folder', browse for your folder with all 127, and they should import ok. I noticed that there was one monster that won't import, I'm not sure why yet.

You can use this procedure to import UA items also.

After importing UA files, you can use the database options to export them to new items.txt and monsters.txt files, which can become your defaults if you like. If you don't export them to the default files, they will still remain with your saved design.

Someone has kindly volunteered to convert the original FRUA docs into something that has meaning for DC. I'm not sure when that will be done, but we may have part of it by the beginning of September. At least then the DC help file will actually be helpful.
