In the 5 books following The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, do the kids find their way back into Narnia, or do they take place in the time between being young and growing old covered at the end of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe?

TIA

They return in the Last Battle, if that is what you're asking.

Not exactly. The Last Battle is the 7th book. Do books 3-7 take place in the time between most of book 2 (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe) and the end, when they're grown up and have reigned over Narnia for years (the Epilogue, if you will), or do they take place after they have returned to Earth (at the very end)?

From what I gathered, it was what happened in Narnia between 2 and 7.

No, the children are called back to Narnia for the other books and find various ways back.

Oh they are? I don't remember them being involved in those books. Then again, I did last read them 10 years ago.

I may be remembering this wrongly because it's been years since I read them but I fuzzily recall that in the book after the LWW, all the kids (Peter and co.) were involved and came back to Narnia and found themselves in a broken down castle or somesuch and found their old stuff all old? So it's like them growing old and ruling over Narnia really happened but when they went back to Earth they were still kids and when they returned to Narnia again they were STILL kids, but this was after they had grown old in Narnia

So, the whole LWW happened and then all the other books happened in a linear timeline.

I think the others (or certainly Prince Caspian) are set much later in Narnia's history.

In Book 2 the kids return, one year later in real time, but centuries later in Narnia. The older kids leave by book 3 and two new ones take their place.

Book 5 is the "in-betweener", set during the time of the grown-up kids in Book 1.
Book 6 is the very beginning of Narnia, some sets have this as book 1, but I'm a traditionalist.
Book 7 you can figure out from the title.

I think you have your numbers mixed up... Book 1 shows the creation of Narnia, Book 2 is the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Those 2 books feature different characters.
