Michael Shanks who plays Daniel Jackson on Stargate SG-1 will be returning the SG1 team next season! (Which starts this June)!

I am happy, I like his character (and I'm into archeology) .
I don't know what they will do with Quinn--maybe hold him in front of the Stargate as it opens.. lol!

Any SG-1 fans here? I've been watching it since it's been on, and IMO is better than Star Trek.

He became a 'higher' being.. of light. (Weird). He 'accended'.

Anyway, he left because he didn't like where his character was going (nowhere). So they worked with him and now he's back!!! I missed him. This New guy 'Jonas Quinn' is a crappy acter IMO.

It wasn't about him wanting more money or anything. He just wanted his character to go somewhere and be more in-depth.. Which If I was an actor, I would too.

Anyway, I'm glad he's back!

sounds like the worst writing out of a character i've heard of!

but good he's coming back.
he was an excellent follow on from james spader in the movie.
a great actor.

so i hope he wasn't out of the show for too long. he's my favourite character anyway. though not sure what season we're on but the last big character thing for him was the Unas liberation etc. and that was a while ago.

The 'Ascended' are supposedly the 'Ancients'--the ones that built the Stargate System. And now, the most dangerous System lord is Anubis. HE is also an Ancient! And damn powerful. Took Lord Yew's ships out in one strike.

Well the dope just handed him the Eye of Ra (if it's the same guy I'm thinking of he was in the season finale right?). Although I never really got what exactly the Eye allowed him to do... as soon as he got it his ship went from mighty intimidating to downright nasty and laid the smack down on a dozen ships at once.

I have not seen too many episodes, but I've started getting more interested. Just about every episode I've seen has been good (better than the origonal movie imo)... overall it's a TON better than "Enterprise".

Yeah, you shoud check out the 1st and 2nd seasons on DVD! Those were the BEST scripts for a series I have seen. And the continuity is 100% better in SG1 than Startrek, which I like

I think the next season is going to be the last but with Michael Shanks back it should be a good one.
