So I just went to the store to purchase this (I've gone through NWN and SoU many times) and I found that they raised the system requirements for this??

I have a dinosaur pentium III 450 and it runs (just barely) the others, but it says that HotU needs a 800 processor?

Is it that graphic heavy? Will my machine still run it anyway and they were playing it safe?

In other words: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

The higher your video card the better will you be able to play. You can find the supported video cards in the bioware forum there's the actual list with all playable cards somewhere. I'm running it with a NVididia TNT 2 with 32 MB on a 733 MHz cpu and I don't get much over 10 fps.

I agree, I'm using a P3 500 with a 128MB Geforce card, and the game runs fine. As long as your vid card is better than the recomended specs you should be ok. as it will make up any difference.

Mine is less but if you're used to low frame rates you might not even notice it and the game runs fine. But remember it is and stays a gamble if it'll run OK on your system if you have lower specs, Bioware said that in a thread as well. Though if SoU and NWN itself run 'barely' as you say it might be wise to not buy it... It's up to you though, if you have some components above the requirements preferably the video card there's a good chance the game is playable
