BG-ToSC Patch

Hello. I'm new here and I need some help.

I'm playing BG1 - ToSC in the moment. I tried to get the international Patch (Germany) for BG1-ToSC, but I can't download it from the Bioware-Internetsite. Is here perhaps someone who can send me the Patch or tell me where it can be downloaded besides the Biowareinternetsite?

You may have to register to download it, but the registration is FREE unless you want to register for their pay as you go dedicated download servers (not recommended).

If you are running under DirectX8, you will also want this patch:

Fileplanet doesn't require registration, but have a subtle way to make you register. It is, of course, unregistered users have to wait for a very long time in a queue, and registered start downloading instantly.

Waiting in line for the download isn't THAT bad, and it doesn't always happen either. I just finished re-downloading some of the team-bg mods and there was NO wait for them. Usual waiting time for me has been up 10 to 15 minutes max.

Okay and how do I get past these requests to register? When I try the downloadbutton it says that I have to register and I see no way to get past these screen.

You have to register be able to use ANY of the download servers. Fileplanet has two types of download servers: General access and dedicated. Unless you want to PAY for the download on their dedicated fast servers, just stick with the general access.

Registering at fileplanet is harmless. They do NOT take advantage of your email addy (as near as I can tell) by sending you spam.

I know whats wrong. I think I have to get a gamespylogin. Hm, I didn't want to register anywhere, whether its gamespy or fileplanet.
Is there any other way to get these patches? I need them because my Baldurs Gate is crashing regulary and sometimes I didnt save in time so I had to do the same things again.

Fileplanet or the offical Interplay site are where I usually get them from. Try the Interplay site again. The server there is not the most reliable.

If that fails, I might be able to download it for you and email it to you. I'm on a dedicated T3 line here at work - downloading it will take about 5 minutes. It's just a matter of whether your email can handle it.

PS: I just tried the patch site again and the darn thing is STILL down.

Ive downloaded the newest(i think) tales patch. its a UK patch, so it should probaply work for you. send youre e-mail address via Private Message, and ill mail it to you.

Thank you all, but today the server from bioware did like me. I could download both Patches for TOSC.
