Well since it's still installing the game, I think you should just reinstall it and check if it does so again. I'm not too sure, but maybe you should just enter CD 1 if you still want to try. It might help.

Actually I had this same problem a while back...

To bad I forgot how to fix it. It was back when I still had XP as my OS...needless to say, I wasn't impressed in the least.

Man, I wish I could help you out here, I'll have to think about it somemore to see if I can remember..

Hmm. I think i have the solution. Explore the CD and run the Setup.exe directly from the CD that way.

I tried that Xen I believe and the same thing happened.

I think I remember what it was now..I was using a burned copy of the game as I hadn't actually gone out and bought it yet (being 13-14 with no job is hard ) So I burned my friend's copy..but after a while it kept wanting disc 5 when installing so I just threw the burned copies in the garbage..

If you DO have a legitly bought version (I have mine now obviously ), then let us know and I'll see if I can think of anything else.

Try doing a minimum install, and then following the instructions here to make it a larger install.
If that fails, and you have alot of room on your HDD, copy the contents of all of the CDs to your HD (all to the same folder), and run setup from there. It should not ask for any CDs during install. However, each CD holds 700 MB; there's 4 of them, making about 2.7 GB, plus install makes about 4 to 5 GB (assuming full install).

I bought my version the day it came out, and the instal program is a little bugged. For example, there is no TOS, just an empty screen with a yes and no button.

Well... when I am installing, after asking all cds, it ask for cd "%". I put the cd 1 in it, and it take it.

Your problem look similar to mine. YOu should really ty putting cd 1 in it.

IIRC this is a problem with the game missing to install some files in the first place so it asks for a CD5 but actually needs missing files from one (or more) of the original 4 CDs. So just try entering them from 1 to 4. If this doesn't work some files are unreadable to the installer. You should then try to install from the HD.

When you put the cd in, don't click the "ok" button when it asks for the location. Instead, copy everything on the cd (a window should come up) into your Black Isle/SoA folder. Then click the ok button.
