Hmm my party must be very weak, Demogorgon ripped me to shreds in about 20 seconds

Me - lvl 33 or so warrior
Severin - my 2nd PC, sorcerer
Minsc and boo
Jaheira
Aerie
Imoen

Eh, if I recall correctly, the original Demogorgan only gates in two Mariliths to help him. The Mariliths are a pain as they have poisoned attacks. If you have the amulet that protects against poison, give it to Minsc, I assume you have the Ring of Gaxx.

Cast the following spells before the battle, Resist Fear, Protection from Evil, Free Action on your tanks, Chaotic Commands on your Tanks, and any other buff spells you can think of.

Summon several good summons and gate in a Planetar. They will help distract Demogorgan for you.

Minsc will take care of the Mariliths while you and Jaheira flank Demogorgan who should be distracted by the summons, remember to cast Breach each time they cast Stoneskin, and to summon more fodder as the summons die.

I never melee improved Demogorgon, kill them all with magic thats safest. Btw if you kill Demorgorgon on the second encounter with him you can seal him up with the scroll after you leave his lair. This is preferable as this nets a greater experience reward.
