Hey guys,i just thought to ask, if anyone of you knew how i could extract the paper dolls & in-game character animations, modify them, and then insert them?

I´m just being curious, since i´m also bored of the old looks of all the barbaric looking human male charcters, i thought it would be refreshing if i managed to create an slightly Efreeti stylish paperdoll & field animation for my main character to use.

Besides, i like to make a mess of this kind of stuff.

So, what i THINK i would need to know:
-What program, if any, is able to extract the graphics
-How would i find the correct animations & paper dolls

Anyway, any pieces of information & ask this question elsewhere posts are appreciated.

Near Infinity can extract the graphics.

Now the trouble starts. The character animations are generaly rendered from 3D models using highly expensive software. Head over to the teambg forums to get more specifics, but its not easy even if you are already familiar with such software.

The paperdolls would be easier, except that they are not in a standard graphics format, nor one of the formats teambg have editors for. It might be worth asking around, I hacked a rough editor for them a while ago, I'm sure someone at teambg can do a better job. (My own sources were lost a long time ago and the program never worked very well anyway, otherwise I would let you have it)

As Andrewas stated, it is very difficult to do the things you wanna do. If you're bored with the paper doll, you can change it to different kinds via shadow keeper...

Hmm...
"Near Infinity", darn, when i try to DL it from the palce i assume is it´s homepage i only get an all time growing page of random markings. :/
I guess i´ll go check some other sites...
Oh, and would this "Infinity explorer" have any simliar capabilities?
It seems easier to find.

So the "field charcters" are they 3D models or pictures of such?

And the paper dolls, well, i´ll go see this "TeamBG" place then.

As for the use of shadow keeper, well, i dont really know, that´d mean i would have to still play with an already excisting one, and i already have tried it as a goblin and such...

Infinity Explorer allows you to do just that; explore the contents of Infinity Engine games.

Near Infinity allows you to some modifications to already existing files and Infinity Engine Editor Pro(IEEP) allows you to make whole new Items, spells and stores.
