I just got through SoA and i've started ToB.I used the walkthrough that I found in this site. I found out that I missed alot of mini quest that wasn't in the walkthrough. I was wanting to know if there is a way that I can go back to do the other quest without starting the whole game over again. If there is another way to get all the other areas done then let me know. I would like to do all the quests that i can. Thanks for all the help.

no, you can't go back to SoA areas without using the clua teleport cheat to move area by area, which is pretty annoying. walkthroughs do not give everything, and they take away so much of the fun in the game. id pretty much say walkthroughs are for people who just want to see what happens in the game, not for people who want to enjoy the game.

You don't have to go right back to the start if you've got a save from Chapter 6. That way you can still reach all the other areas, do the missed quests and refight you-know-who with more XP

Or you can write down the stuff you missed and hit them with your next game. BG2 changes depending on what class and kit you pick for your PC, the NPCs in your party, etc. New quests open up, other quests are closed off. The replay factor is what makes BG2 a great game.

Besides, ToB hands out experience like Halloween candy, if you're worried about levels and whatnot.

Agreed, but a walkthrough is an justifiable means of by-passing an annoying situation, like this "Light the Torches" thingy in Watchers Keep.
Really, i maybe missed some hint before coming to the point, but there i was, looking at 6 torches, and 3 different ways to lighten them up, no hints at all...
Guess, did i check a walkthrough?

Well, actually i wonder who besides a person who takes sadistic pleasure in torturing his brain would enjoy that situation...

Ah, I see. So "annoying situation" is now a euphemism for "challenging encounter or puzzle," is it?

And guess what! Now I, who actually solved that puzzle on the first try just by correctly interpreting the clues, can gleefully say that "I am better than you," .....and there's not a damn thing you'll ever be able to do about it. Can't go back and complete the thing legitimately now that you've checked a walkthrough, now, can you?

And here I thought that was what the point of most games is all about: To challenge yourself. Some people rise to meet that challenge, while some apparently do not.

Meh, a PUZZLE, or CHALLENGING situation is an situation that you can survive by thinking it through.
An annoying situation is an situation where you see a problem, a hundred of ways to possibly survive it, and you have no idea what to do except guess yourself forward...
I figure it´d take an eternity of frustration and boredom to guess your way to the correct way to light the torches, unless you are VERY lucky indeed...

Perhaps there would have been an hint lying around somewhere in the dungeon, perhaps some creature could have been asked about the problem.
Problem: all creepies besides me were dead on that level...
And i most certainly had no desire to go search the whole dungeon above me for a hint...

Call it a challenge or whatever to waste your time talking to a bunch of torches, lighting them up with one of the three ways...

The solution was at your feet, literally. I actually solved the puzzle before I encountered it.

"Hey... haven't I seen something like that before?"

Other metaphors include, "The answer was under your nose.", "You were stepping on the clue."

This puzzle is actually incredibly easy... if you bother to spend a few seconds looking around.

ADD] The answer lies in the same room as the torches.

I must have missed something then.

Annoying situations are not always caused by the game...

I dont mind checking a walk through when I encounter a problem that I cant seem to solve or when I think that it is to booring... sometimes its also kind of good, if there is a situation where you "absolutely" need to do it the "right" way to sucseed... like the silver pantaloons quest for instance, which I missed... and for you that complaines and whines about this... I simply dont belive that you havent asked a question or checked a walk through every now and then. I think its kind of anoying to read smart comments like sixofspades just did... whats the point... huh? Why not just mentioning that there are clues in the various rooms on this level and that the puzzle is really easy to solve then!
