In the watchers Keep
The demon Wraith with his little cohort of undeads who they say 'run fools!'
or 'we can't control ourselves' and there floor is littered with traps
I Knew I had the little idiot! because I never used 'cheese' tactics or 'dog' ways to win...I took em full on....
(Not sure if there is one tho) But don't ruin it for me.

I cast
NeGaTivE PlaNE ProTecIioNs
ChaoTiC CoMManDS
and ReSiST FeAR
RePuLse UnDeaD
(ok Control UnDeaD and Hold UnDeaD did not seem to work)
I slew 2 of the 5 with my EQUALIZER and FOEBANE +3
with a DEVA summoned helping
I removed all the DEMON WRAITHS spell protections
Purged INVISIBILITY
then MISCAST his MAGIC (and every bloody one of his spells failed! It was just basically standing doing Jack all!)
While MINSC fought with duel wielded the MACE of DISRUPTION + FLAMETONGUE the boss
RinG of the RaMMeD him
Meanwhile me other spellcasters cast....(with limited effects due to magic resistance)
BoLT of GLORYs
FALSE DAWNs
SUNRAYSs
so I wa gonna move in for the kill with my main character, the Boss WRAITH, I moved thru 2 traps, me main character + MINSC died instantly! [img]redface.gif[/img]

so any Hints and Tips? or Could I improve me Tactics there?

Well, yea I can probably tell you why that happened. One of the traps that is actually in the middle of the floor ontop of Helm's symbol is a Flesh to Stone trap, so that may be why you died instantly.

need one more spell = detecting traps@"@ [/QUOTE]Just keep your thief (if you have one) away from the fight, but still detecting traps. You should be able to detect it, as you should have a decent amount of points in detect trap by now

I kicked butt!!!

only my MISLED JAN (the fake one) got feared and walked over the last trap, that i didn't manage to diaram on time, in the midst of all the combat....
actually ended up killing my real Jan [img]redface.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img]
But I raised him.

Mislead? Near Infinity says that he`s got Detect Invisibility by Script.
I`m sure he would blow your "cover". Can you please explain this tactics of yours?

I am not sure what u mean by this...?
what? that the master demon wraith can auto detect invis? I did not know this...how is it allowed to do that?
I use MISLEAD just for defence anyway so that the real JAN doesn't get killed, the fake can be a tank and move in for melee against all the other wraiths....

How come ur MISLEAD (fake) can't use MISSILE weapons at all???
Is that a BUG? I think its pretty stupid like that tho :\

Hmm, I was sure that Mislead didn't create a movable image. Are you sure it wasn't Simulucram...(or however you spell it)?

MISLEAD it was the caster becomes improved INVIS and teleported a few feet away from original position while an exact copy is made of the caster (same hit points only it can't cast spells like SIMULACRUM image can...) The image mimicks the combat actions of the caster...it lasts until is killed or dispelled with things such as TRUE SIGHT etc.
