Mod question

My new game will be centered around the Imoen mod. I also want to install TDD. Can someone point me to a site that will ensure I get the compatible version of TDD?? IIRC, Imoen and TDD both come in WeiDu, right?

I will also be using Ease-of-Use and Soulafein. Am considering Tactics, too.

So we have: Imoen, Soulafein, Ease-of-Use, TDD, and (possibly) Tactics.

1. Out of these, are there any that are not compatible?
2. Advice on installation order. IIRC, Imoen mod demands you use a patch *before* you install. Is this true? If so, which mods should I do in what order??
3. I also want to do Shadows over SOudabar someday. Is it linked to TDD?? Should I install them both at the same time?

Final Q: TDD has a large side adventure but still ultimately follows the SoA main plot line, right? If not, what should I watch out for?

[ed.] Second Final Q: I'm seeking TDD because I want a major mod, having become a little bored with SoA after 3 times through (up to spellhold, anyway). Anyone know a better MAJOR MOD to recommend???

Well, all mods are designed to be installed over the latest official patch, as well as the baldurdash fixpack. So get that done first, if you havent already.

Then you install TDD. There is no weiDU version of it, so just ensure you get the 1.3 ToB compatable version. Or any other version + the latest patch.

Then move onto the weiDU stuff. Biggest mods first, although order dosent really matter. So tactics, EoU, imoen, sola. I would throw in ascension and redemption as well.

Soubar *cannot* be installed with TDD. Both are non-weiDU mods, and AFAIK there are no plans to make either a unified version, or a weiDU version of either of them.

FWIW, one of the TeamBG modders (Horred?) is working on Big Picture, which incorporates SoS, TDD, Freedom's Reign and Reign of Virtue, IIRC. It is compatible with Weimer Upgrade Items and most of Tactics, supposedly. It is up to version 1.55, but the install is a tad involved at this point, since it is not in final form.

I see TeamBG is currently down, but may be worth looking into if you want to start a new game involving many of those components.

The primary pieces are SOS, TDD, and Tortured Souls. I forget if Reign mods are in there.

The install is ALWAYS going to be involved. The respective modders of two of the three component parts are, for some odd reason, opposed to letting someone actually properly assemble the mods, but unopposed to someone creating a unifying "layer" which in the process changes a bunch of scripts and adds its own new content. So you're always going to have a multi-stage process.
