beating improved demogorgon?

im finding this fight nigh on impossible
he keeps summoning a host of glabrezu(sp) on me in addition to his old marileths. he also seems to be immune to lower magic resistance and is using true sight to dispell my illusions.

He's immune to lvl 1-6 spells, meaning LR doesnt do a thing.
You'll need Pierce Shield (lvl 8 ) to get this MR down.

Also, try casting breach a lot ( removes his stoneskins, which he loves to cast ) .. Breach does still work as it targets the protections, not demogorgon himself. Maybe bring down a few of his little helpers, but focus on him .. since he'll just summon more and more.

So:
- If you wanna use magic, use Pierce Shield *first*, store 3 in a Chain Contingency set on nearest enemy. *Before* talking to Demogorgon, first summon a summon and let him stand next to the ( at that point still invisible ) Demogorgon. That way your CC will always target Demogorgon and none of his summoned creatures.

-Melee, just use breach and GWW him

- Also, type " improved Demogorgon" in the search engine and be amazed at how many tactics and advices have already been written down [img]smile.gif[/img]

yea, i should have been more specific
what i meant was *all* of my lower magic resist spells seemed to have no effect

heres what a fight usualy ends up as:
Kelsey-Chain contingency pierce shield x 3 during the time stop
Tashia-same chain as kelsey

Then i have them both do chains of abizals horrid wilting
and i get demogorgon has resisted x spell 6 times; which is *impossible* if 6 pierce shields hit him.
after that the fight usualy ends 30 seconds later with everyone dead from poison and the horde.

I'm working on a data right now so I can prepare to face Demogorgan. With my fight with him before, I found out a few things such as he is immune to a lot of magic (1-6 like daan said), Time Stop and Imprisonment also have no effect on him either. If I remember right, Demogorgan deals out blunt damage when he's not casting spells, so the helm you can acquire from Gromnir would help. Of course, I think daan posted this way back when in the SoA forum too
