Here's some pics of our Christmas Foxes, I spared you guys the pics of them actually mating. We suspect they have a den in the small woods in our backyard. I will report back this spring if baby foxes appear.
![]() Also attached is a Christmas pic of my Baby Benjamin. Enjoy!

![]() Cool fox pics, wish I had thought of getting my camera out a couple of years ago when a herd of 14 deer went by on the other side of the river in my back yard. |

Nice pics! They're awesome animals - the red coat is so vibrant in the snow. I've only ever seen a fox once, they're quite stealthy. But yeah, very cool. Is the female the one in the front? Just wondering, she looks smaller.

For a minute there I thought the baby was the result of the aforementioned coupling, and that you were gonna be rich. Afterall the baby has a red coat too.

Mrs. Chewy deserves credit for the pics in addition to Ben's good looks.
![]() I've come to realize our yard really is a Fox buffet! ![]() The female is in front. She is smaller with a pointier nose. She led that male from the front of the house around to the back before they finally became "locked". That part is very unfortunate to watch as they get stuck "butt-to-butt" moving in slow circle, Yipping and growling til biology has taken it's course about 20 minutes. ![]() Whoops RTB has outed us as shapechanging fox people. We can turn into birds too, and fly away byebye! ![]()

UPDATE:
Male Fox is sleeping on a pile of pine straw about 20 yards from our backdoor. I went out to get a closer look and he stood up, looked at me, stretched, yawned, and curled back up resuming his snooze. ![]()

They can become somewhat tamed you know, where thwy will eat out of a persons hand like a dog. Especially if they have young ones, those could be trained easier. Man, my backyard is boring.

Oh no, I don't want to tame them. I even started keeping the trash bins inside the garage to minimize the potential availability of human food ( and to keep the racoons out too). I guess it's best stated that I just believe in letting wild animals be wild.
![]() Yeah, we live in a very high conservation area, lots of trees and wild life- definitely not boring! There are woods and trails in the neighborhood big enough to get lost in, yet we are still just 15-20 minutes away from downtown Boston.
