"Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times," The LA Times newspaper said on its website.

10-20 years ago, people would have been greatly upset. He just got a little too... weird.

Also, NBC confirmed the death.

Wow, that's a shock. Regardless of his freakish behaviour and bizzarre/questionable relationships, we owe him a salute for the music he brought us. To this day nightclubs still play dance versions of his songs that get the whole crowd up. I will miss him because he was an icon, at one point anyways.
