From demon wraiths to Demi-lich

Ok, i now am facing a demi-lich who imprisons my characters in about 2 seconds. I don't have a freedom spell yet either. Can I beat this guy without having people imprisoned? Other than Freedom it doesn't sound like there is any way to counteract imprisonment. I turned into the Slayer and killed him, but other than that no luck.

Help?

Be VERY qucik and cast dragon's breath. Destroys him 1 shot. Make sure the person casting it has amulet of power and robe of vecna.

Alas, I do not have a Dragon Breath spell. I haven't found a scroll for one either. Thanks though..... anyone else with an idea.

dragon's breath is a lvl 10 spell...wait a few levels and have your mage learn it by doing other quests.

Or else there's allways the good 'ol mage-trick.

1. Cast Melf's Minute Meteors ( lvl 3 spell )
2. Cast Improved haste ( lvl 6 spell )
3. Cast " spell immunity - Abjuration " ( lvl 5 spell )

Proceed to use the demi-lich as a dart-bord.

Remember to recast Spell immunity from time to time, and make sure Improved Haste sticks too. Spell Immunity abjuration protects you from imprisonment.

Alternatively, you can use Aerie if you have the Mace of Disruption.

1) Cast Death Ward on Aerie
2) Cast Spell Immunity:Abjuration
3) Let Aerie enter the room alone and tap the Demi-Lich with the Mace of Disruption. Never has a battle been so one-sided.

LoL, yeah, i remember beating kangaxx as if he was a floating tennisbal with that mace .. not a very high-quality tennis-ball though, i bet a tennisbal would last a whole lot longer than him [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Does the mace of disruption work if you didn't upgrade it? Everytime that Aerie hits with it it just says weapon ineffective.

Yes it does. Did the Demi-Lich cast any of the following?

1) Protection from Magical Weapons
2) Absolute Immunity

That's why I hate demi-liches so much.. I mean: they always have the nasty habit of casting irritating spells. They're dead anyway, why try and wreak havoc among a party !?
