If you would have said that one African nation would qualify for the semi-finals of the World Cup - who would have picked Kenya. Along the way they have picked up creditable wins against 3 test playing nations - Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and now Zimbabwe. They also gave India one heck of a fright last week.

I think they have made a case for replacing Bangladesh amongst the 10 Test playing nations, and that they should be promoted from the World Conference and Bangladesh demoted. The records of the two sides at this world cup are poles apart. And how many people would have picked any World Conference nation to be in the final four?

Sure I expect Australia to kick their butts in the final qualifying game before the semi's, but these guys have been the big improvers of the game.

The wonderful thing about cricket
is crickets a wonderful thing.
At the top is ol' Australia,
at least till the end of Spring.

Cricket tis manly bouncy
fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.
The wonderfullest thing about cricket is
watching it Davros is the only one.

Yep. 'grats goin out to Kenya. They definately deserve a trophy for their determination and consistancy. Give them a few years and some better matches around the world to what they are used to and I can see them moving a long way

Kenya in the semi-final? It's really turning into something not worth winning isn't it?

Hmm - what are those tiny purple glistening things - they look fruity but they look like they are spoiled if you ask me .

Makes one wonder how Kenya would have gone up against Nasser's brigade?

To be honest I am not sure that I KNOW who I think would win . I KNOW who I would have expeced to romp in an easy win at the start of the tournament.

I thought Kenya had been pretty lucky, but they dispatched Zimbabwe in real no nonsense fashion, and it took a great innings from that Ganguly dude to get India over the line. They have only had convincing defeats from the Saffies and the Calypso Kings (oh and hopefully OZ after tomorrow ).
