About your hammer that summon a Blink Dog...
Do you want to control the Dog yourself or do you want it to follow a script?

Hehe, man you know ya shouldn't have to go thru all this...I never did actually want the dog, but now it seems like I'ma get the dog. ( k, so weird joke)
Hrm... decisions, decisions. I'd want to control it to a degree. It should have characteristics like any other summoned or gated pet. They come in and use their abilities, and I just point them in the right direction. If you mean do I want to control the blur and phasing, naw. And how goes the lil pup? You used him in any battles yet? Slept and made sure he vanished and was rdy to be summoned again? Hrm, now I think about it, dire wolves are similar hehe. Can't wait to check it out though. Would be one of my first override installs. That displacer beast file was for a mod :/ And right now I'm not playing my game cuz of those damned spells I memmed earlier. Seems I got more than two hours to make up if I want to swap my high level spells from Aerie to Immy. Drags like that make me not wanna play for reals. Moving on....let me know how the lil thing is holding up. Thanks for the time you spending in it too. I've had about 10 dogs in RL, each one somehow well... I'll make sure to keep this one safe. Maybe it'll make Keldorn happy or sum'in.

Ok, those are my progress so far:
The Dog is done, he has the same attributes you posted. When you use the item to summon him he is under your control but alfo fight by himself according to his script. If an ennemy is a little far, instead of walking to it he use his warp ability. He can use this ability an unlimited number of time. I also gave him 6 blurr and 6 dimension door spells you can use yourself. I am now working on the Hammer. As I am typing this I am looking at the stats you posted and adding them to the hammer. How is it so far? Before putting a mini quest/big fight I will give you a beta version of the hammer, so that you can clua it in and tell me if there is anything you would like to see changed. I would hate to edit an area to add everything just to find out I did something wrong on the item. I tried him ingame, but I did not try sleeping yet, so I don't know if he will unsummon. I used the same timer for him as for the summoned spider, wich mean he stay 5 mins.

Humm... I am getting some compatibility problems...
I can either make it so that the hammer can summon, but when you equip it it won't appear, making you make unarmed attack instead. Or I can make it that it can be wielded and used to fight with, but if I do that, nothing happen when I try to summmon. So far I have found no way to fix that. I will go to sleep and try again tomorow. Does they need to be on a single item? What if the hammer and the summon item where two separate items instead?

Sounds like it's getting a rather bit difficult now aye.
Good idea on the sleep part. I got things to do later and it's alrdy morning time - no sleep is gonna be a killer, but what can you say when your younger brother is going to the army and well... I'll be out of town this weekend if ya working on it and don't hear from me. (actually personal business, but since ya being more than helpful, ya entitled to know in case you get no response) Don't sweat the item. It was just a way for me to release BLAH in more words than BLAH BLAH. Two items are cool, but that means the hammer alone is crappy, really. The summoning item with it's history would be fine by itself. If you could throw in some sort of quest for it too, that would even be sweeter. Welp, time to lurk and read other boards too. Thanks again.

Ok, for now I will leave them as two seperate item, and start working on a way to get them. I will also keep looking for a way to have both abilities on a single item.
The easiest way would be from a fight with an npc, but I might do a quest.

Ok, I can't make it as a weapon because of a tecnical problem/limitation of the engine I will explain at the end of the post, but I was able to make it as a helm.
I think a helm is the closest possible I can get to your original item. Would anhelm do? Also, do you want this to be a SOA or TOB item? I was thinking an easy solution would be to add an extra creature in the Oasis in TOB, but if you want it to be somewhere else I can place it elsewhere. The problem is you want to have to do a big fight to get the item, and I can't just add a big fight at the beginning of the game, since it would be dangerous for newbie. Ok, this is the reason I can't put the summoning effect on a weapon. It seem a summoning item can only have one effect at a time, and since a weapon need to have an attack effect, it cancel the summoning effect. If I erase the attack effect the item will summon but can't attack, if I let the attack there, the weapon will attack, but the summon efffect won't work.

I think this effort is great really....
Ya know ya can help someone who may be more um, what's that word for it...not appreciative because I am, but hrm...what's that word? Ya can help someone in the weapons order post since it was strictly created for such. I'm sure you read my reply back on my own post on the ideas of weapon making... Maybe if you just kill the item, me worries will all go away. It's too much of a hassle, especially with all the different ideas AND NOTIONS going around. This is a forum about a game we enjoy. I come here to wind down and to NOT find stress. Most of the lil conversations are cool and fun(ny), but once it gets to be "work, then it's not as cool anymore. I say this with all posters in mind - I wouldn't ask from someone what they can't ask from me. I wouldn't want ya to sweat over an item thinking you HAVE to make it. I'm fine with just your effort to contribute back AFTER that lil deal earlier, if you catch me, BUT I also feel like that any man's work should not go unnoticed. If you feel like you HAVE to make something, feel free to do so, but don't worry about this end. You know who would enjoy those more? There is a place where you can upload your ideas at TEAMBG. Would be nice to see your Blink Dog there WITH credit to the maker - which would be you. I'd even download it from there in whatever form... To come to a close with answering your questions and to end with a thought of mine: I don't have TOB. The item isn't really important to me. I appreciate your work and time spent on it. I, however, feel like it's blown up into something it wasn't intended to be. I hope your skills in developing items/quests/scenarios improve if not from this then future things. That goes to all the other great ppl who have put in their two cents. I'd be all the merrier if my weapons post was deleted and all attachments to it since well....someone out there knows the reasons. It's like chev and his post, sometimes "stuff" just gets thrown around and it makes the original idea get muddled w/ dirt. Who knows, maybe you are overlooking something about the weapon that someone else could help you on. I say " uh uh" when it's going to be tied to me or my name, I don't care for all the special attention. [img]smile.gif[/img] Thanks again, and let's just drop this so we can see how many ppl post in the next five days asking for cheats and giving bogus reasons why ![]() I'm always open to flames, just not special attention.
