I am almost out of musket balls and Kuner doesn't seem to be restocking at all even though I've waited much more than 24 hr. I haven't gotten to Ferro yet (hope to soon) but I've had to take the blunderbuss from the Val and give her a crossbow because of the ammo shortage. And the Fig is down to 50 balls. Help!

sorry, wildrose, but there's only two places to get musket balls: kunar and burz (remember that guy in the monastary?? yeah, him!)
of course, repeated camping can yield results. if you arent playing ironman, you can also save after you've camped 3 times, but before you actually talk to the vendor, since his stock isnt actually generated until you talk to him. if he doesnt have items to your liking (eg enough musket balls) then go back to your last save and try again. this minimises the number of camps you have to do (i figure, if i'm willing to camp a thousand times to get ammo, what's the difference, but i'm sure others would see this as an exploit. your call.) on the other hand, i personally found the modern weapons in the game to be underpowered. the best bows (and crossbows) with the best ammo (mystic or lightning) are more consistent and deliver better results. imo. Hi Wild Rose,
IIRC Kunar and Burz ( at the monastery ) are the only one selling Musket Balls. I don't know if Ferro sells them. But it is strange that Kunar's supplies aren't restocked within 24 h.I had no problems. In all my games he had always enough ammunition for me (I had one blunderbuss). Burz has only 25 at a time so you must wait some time if you want more. |

Is the 24 hour turnaround on goods a guarantee or an estimate? I made some $$$ by buying lots of potions of medium and light heal from Lord Braffitt, turning them into heavy heals then selling them back. I camped for well over a day after that and he still didn't have any more light or medium heal potions in stock.

I think there is no guarantee, only a high chance. F.e. Burz restocks his musket balls mostly every 8 hours. But Granite Potions or Cracker Stix sometimes need 3 or 4 turns to appear again.

I wouldn't use modern weapons with several characters (like valk and fig in this post). You usually get enough for one character without resting for it, if you visit the base regulary.

the inventory is set when you touch your lips on the merchant, so if you save after you camp for 24 hrs, just reload again if what you want isn't there.

In the end I went to Kunar and bought up everything in stock. All of a sudden there is a sort of cash-register noise going on - and musket ball, spell-books, potions all started comming up. Guess for some reason the program just got stuffed up. Has anyone had this problem?
Anyhow got the musket balls ( about 250 ![]() Werebore: why wouldn't you use modern weapons for the Fig & Val? Who would you use them with, besides the gadgy? Thanks for all the good tips all.

Yes, thats what i intended to say (only one char).
But now that i think about it, i'd rather use it with a weaker character, if i have the choice. The warrior will have his strength maxxed in short time, gaining some strength bonus. With rangers, i go for senses and dex/speed first, so modern weapons are more valuable for them. |
