...had your game up and running but weren't playing it?
I took a break to pet an attention-starved kitty that had jumped up onto my lap and a few minutes later, one of my party members says "You could use this time to learn a few of my tricks if you'd like!" I nearly fell out of my chair laughing! Another one said something about "time being golden" or something when I left the room for something once but I did not catch the whole phrase. Too funny. ![]() |

Yep, that's a standard tack used by RPG's during idle times...the characters start making pointed comments at you! LOL I know the Black Isle/Bioware games (BG2, Icewind Dale) do this as well.
Cheers, -Saz (and YES, it it hilarious!) |

That's funny Moni. I bet you nearly did fall off your chair. Like they were actually talking to you, huh? Why is it that cats decide they need to have attention right when you're in the middle of playing a computer game. I think they time it that way, don't you?

It's a way of reminding the player that he or she hasn't pressed the "pause" key. The clock is running, monsters may be creeping up and it's getting dark...
