I have been told that the reason that I cannot run the game is my videocard. I have a HP Pavilion PIII (866MHz), 256 MBytes of RAM, a 16x CD-ROM, and a Verto GeForce MX200 videocard with 32 MB of Ram. Do you think this is the problem?

In Windows, click 'Start' then 'Run', then type in 'dxdiag' and press enter - go to your video card settings and see how many MB your card really is. Compare this with the required video card and from here you can probably tell if that is what's causing the problem. Sometimes the video card isn't quite what you think it is - you sometimes have less MB than you first thought, so checking this way will let you know if it really is the card. I hope you manage to sort this out soon

Attalus my HP 670 P3 wouldnt run it either. I think you need a better video card. Have you updated the drivers? That semi-worked for me but then my mouse was all jumpy in the game. If thats your problem then look in MagiKs thread below on something to try. It worked for him and Larry, but alas not for me. My solution was a bit more expensive lol lets just say Best Buy gave me credit

A new drivers most likely will fix your problem. It worked for me and my other friends. one of them just berely made all the system requirements and the new driver for the video card lets it run perfectly. He doesnt even need to run everything on low. i think he set it to the one just beneath best graphics.

The GForce MX200/32MB can handle the game, I think your problem have to do with the audio rather than the video, can you tell what audio card you have, if its an integrated card on the motherboard try the "configuration" and check the disable audio option, if you can run the game after that you know what to buy in office depot.

I have Verto Geforce II MX200 32MB, and NWN works fine with my card. I also run a PIII 600 mhz w/ 192MB ram. So i also don't have top of the line system either.

You must have other issues, the lastest drivers from Nvidia website would be simplest answer, but i suppose you've done that already.

You have to remember that the game will not run on the bestest of the best settings unless you really do have a top of the line computer.

yack made the best suggestion yet.

check your audio! audio problems are much more likely than video problems to cause game-stopping issues like yours.

check your system to see what sound you have, then diable it to see what's up.
