Is it possible to bring back NPC's who have died?
If not what is the point of the Rod of Resurrection(sp?)?

If their portrait is still in the lineup to the right, yes you can. You can use any of three spells to do this: Raise Dead, Resurection, and Harper's Call. Raise and HC bring back with one HP, Resurect brings them back with full HP. For resurection you can use the rod. Raise and Resurect are also available as Cleric spells, and at any good temple. Harper's Call, however, you can only use if you have Jaheira alive.

I think lennoncook explained that quite well the only thing I would add is that if you booted them out of your party, your plum out of luck, there is no way I know of to get them back, well except 1, but its a bit complicated. You need to go to the edit part where you can make creatures appear, and then you need to go into the program files and find the name for the npc as it correlates to a creature file then type in that and proceed like you would be using the creating a monster edit. I know I probably explained that rather poorly but I remember bringing back haer dearlis like 3 times after I killed him, you just need to find the right file.

Yes but you won't get back YOUR Haer'Daelis but only the generic joinable Haer'Daelis and start him from scratch. Or have you means of getting your exact party member back?? If so, pray tell, as this is exactly what I need right now for Imoen.
