I've got a really big problem...when JAn went back home to help his lost love I was at Umar Hills, so I told him to go...now I'm back in athkatla and I'm not able to find him anymore, I spoke with Ma Jansen and she told me he's downstairs or in the government district, but I can't find him...please help me!!! Where is Jan???????

you did not by any chance kick him out of the party (leaving disgruntled)
If he just went to look up his love he should be upstairs in the Jansen home. IIRC you have the chance to stall him nd accompany him to his home after finishing whatever quest you're at. I know Jan's quest is a drag (lots of errands) but he's a pretty useful fellow so it would be a shame if you had lost him.
