What is the type of MR of Carsomyr?
When equipped it sets the MR to 50, despite other items equipped. But then you remove other MR giving items, place them back and then suddenly it's 50MR + MR from the item. Now I have Carsomyr, Cloak of Balduran, Amulet of Power and the Ring of Gaxx, but everytime I load my game, I have to re-equip everything but Carsomyr to get my 90%MR. Thats sick! And when I have all those items on and I just take away Carsomyr, then my MR is 40% like it should. Is this a bug or what?

Carsomyr does not add Magic Resistance - it sets.
Like you noticed, you can un-equip / re-equip to get your Magic Resistance to the ceiling - but - and this is the where the 'sets' part comes in - the next time your mighty Paladin (or cheesy Thief [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) will swing the Holy Avenger in the air (aka, next blow), the Magic Resistance resets back to the original 50%. Jim tested and proved it a while ago. So, no skyrocketing Magic Resistance with Carso.

Zuvio, don't underestimate Carso. 50% Magic Resistance is nothing to sneeze at.
Many Wizard kicked the bucket because of that particular sword. [img]smile.gif[/img] If you're looking for a weapon which adds MR, there's a certain sword in ToB that will serve you better.
