Is this how it will end???

My first BGII party is currently in Suldenesselar and preparing to face Irenicus in the final showdown. This leaves me with a few questions about some "unfinished business" in the SoA portion of the game.

1) I have the De'Arnisse Stronghold, but Nalias' former betrothed hasn't launched his full scale attack yet.

2) My romance with Jaheira never developed past the maddening "How did that last battle make you feel?" stage.

3) Bodhi never "infected" Jaheira with vampirism, so I don't have to deal with that sub-quest.

My understanding is that the battle with Irenicus ends the SoA segment of BGII. If this is true, then what about the unfinished storylines above....especially the assault on De'Arnise Keep. I really want to smite that little bugger just on general principle.

I realize that the Jaheira romance is probably completely shot. I'm beginning to think it was a lot more trouble than it was worth, but that would also explain why Bodhi didn't infect her, because my game doesn't recognize her as my "love interest".

Any comments or suggestions from the veteran players would be greatly appreciated.

with the de'arnise hold thing, save and try sleeping alot. maybe a messenger will appear like he did with me. if it doesnt work, and the higher days spent playing the game bothers you, reload. with jaheira, it could also be time(the dialogues appear at certain points in the game or after the correct amount of time has passed, i believe), ive also had a bug concerning the harper base, this person(was jaheira from the future, i dont remember. havent romanced jaheira in a LONG time) came to jaheira saying she had some important buisness with jaheira. well she didnt appear to take jaheira away for a day, and so i missed out on those dialogues. could be that, or youve missed out on some other sub-quest(like the one where jaheira gets cursed). the bodhi sub-quest might have had an effect also, though i doubt it because, if i remember correctly, i used to kick viconia out of the party so bodhi wouldnt take her and still be able to continue the romance. Well, thats all i can think of for now. hope it helps. P.S: If i happen to remember something else, ill be sure to let you know!

The keep quests are time dependant. Jaherias romanced is bugged to the point of being uncompletable. The official patch fixes parts of it, baldurdash ( http://members.rogers.com/mrkevvy ) fixes a lot more.

Thanks for the help. I suppose my biggest question is -

Do I need to leave Suldenesselar and try to complete these subquests before fighting Irenicus?

Will they "disappear" once the story-ending battle is over....or will they still be there for me to complete since I have ToB installed?

If you want to access SoA areas, now is the time: backtrack your way out to the world map and do the quests. Later, you'll get no chance.

I had same problem with Aerie and Bodhi: Bodhi didn't ever turn Aerie to a vampire although I had finished Aerie romance for good.

i know i had EXACTLY the same problem with D'arnise hold! one time no one ever showed up for the first time, the when it did work, it never got the soldier stealing money. i wanted to go into a full scale battle. i just download battle at the deep once i get broadband.

RE THE JAHEIRA ROMANCE
One more thing (which I keep forgetting when her romance doesn't work) -- your rep has to be 14 or more for the romance to continue all the way.

First time I did Jaheira's romance I didn't get the Bodhi interaction with her, plus we got too many Harper Pins from you-know-who, but that was before the Baldurdash fixes, so to anyone new doing the Jaheira romance, you NEED to patch it.

I had the exact same problem as you with the Jaheira romance, no more lovetalk would happen after that one. But I forced trigered the two next one, and after that things went to normal.
