This is what happens to rip-off artists

If you've got some time on your hands, this is a great read. Quick summary: Guy on Pirate4X4 advertises some gears he has for sale...$115 and they are brand new. Gets a check from another member and cashes it, then goes back and edits his original post to reflect a higher price. Pirate4x4 is famous for it's flame jobs and pack mentality and they go apeshit. The guy cops an attitude and it ends up that they post his name, address, phone numbers, etc. They also find out he has scammed other people on other boards and post that info. Then they discover the gears have 11k miles on them. Then they post his picture and his parent's and employer's addresses. About 3 days ago it gains an "internet life" and suffice it to say this 19yo kid has ruined his life. They know everything about him and it has gotten to some very dangerous and perverse sites. He'll never be able to go online again and he now has had his attempted fraud viewed by over 1 million people just in the last 2 days and it is really starting to snowball. It makes interesting reading because it shows that you are not as anonymous as you might think and how not to act and get cute with the wrong people. Scary stuff.
