Well..
The Golf is almost exact the same weight as Corrado. (1280kg)
And aboute the HP, that is a bit different with the American and the European version,
The european Golf VR6 has 174hp while the Corrado have 190.
However the new Golf V6 4motion have 214hp but I don't think they are sold in US.
The only VR6 engine I know of in US is the 2.8l, 174hp which are fit in both Golf and Corrado on that side of the atlantic, while european Corrado have 2.9l as said..
They stoped making Corrado -95 and the ones remaining in Sweden is mostly imported from Germany.
My Corrado (I have 2 but one will be sold tomorrow) is a imported -92 one.
I working on some heavy modifikations both with the typical plastic styling and some modifiations in the original metallic body.
My favourite Honda must be the the Type-R one.. But I agree that it is a shame that they remove Prelude from the program. There are beginning to grow a shortage of "Sportcars" for the normally fit wallet nowadays..
