Did you get ANY indication that a specific file / exec was causing the problem? Without any more information, I have no idea where to even begin.
So If I understand NWN starts okay but when you try to enter the EFU server it crashes? If that's right, maybe Z can help troubleshoot. As I said, the first things that come to mind are either a NWN version compatibility issue or a missing HAK file. That's usually what causes NWN to crash when attempting to enter a server - unless you've been locked out by the server admin.
