Concerning the outcome being different if you are an evil aligned char., I believe the reason is that the programmers would have to double the size of the game to make a plot for the evil ones, and that would of course double the price of the game...And if you only wanted to be good in the game, the evil aligned program would be a waste of money, and visa-versa.
Now, they could make "BG-the Evil Package", that would be like an expansion pack that you could buy separate and it would re-write the program to make the world become subject to your evil reign, yet maybe the programmerswould be afraid that not enough people would want the package to consider making enough profit for their trouble. All in all, if you want something done, enough of you evil lads must pull together and show Bio-ware and Interplay that the majority of buyers for the game want to have this option, and if you are numerous enough in your pleas, you WILL get what you want, because the programmers will write what they believe will attract a customer. Stop griping and team-up to do something about it !!!!
