Keith Richards is the guitarist for the Rolling Stones. He also has done enough drugs to embalm half of the world's population. There is a an old joke that after a nuclear war, the only things left would be cockroaches and Keith Richards.
Liches are very rare, and would consist of the leadership caste of the army. Most of the rank and file soldiers would be skeletons and some zombies. They would crush an orcish army for three reasons:
- The undead army can reinforce itself by animating any orcs they kill.
- Orcs can lose morale, and by their personalities would stab the leader in the back. Undead creatures are completely loyal unto destruction.
- Even the most intelligent orc commander cannot go toe to toe with a lich or vampire lord. Not only do these powerful undead tend to be incredibly intelligent, they have also had generations to learn from their mistakes. They are also much more patient than orcs (they could just wait until the charismatic orcish leader dies off, then attack).
