Hmm, i have all the fixpacks and patches, but i still get that sometimes. In the same place, the Githyanki boarded, and i tried to kill them, they all died easy, and the captain just stood there with me smashing him to bits. And when i had him on near death, he wouldn't die. I let my character bash the guys head in for half an hour, which didn't work. It DID start a conematic sequence, but it didn't load. So, i have the same problems, but after a few attempts it worked. Maybe it's to do with some mods you have installed. All i can say is just cary on trying, it worked for me after a while.
