Income tax is 31% (but that depends where in Sweden you live). But because I don't make that much money (I'm a student) I pay less. [img]smile.gif[/img] But before those 31% there's also the money for pension, vacation, etc. I don't think that's that bad. Less than 10% income tax is crazy! [img]redface.gif[/img] Do you even get anything for that? I mean, what do you pay for with it? Here I get free education and healthcare, pension, etc. Everything I need basically. Sales tax is 25% for ordinary things, 6% on books, for food maybe 12%. For alcohol it depends what kind of alcohol it is, though it's still very high - vodka has around 80% tax. [img]tongue.gif[/img] You don't want to buy alcohol in Sweden... That's why people go on boat trips to Denmark or Estonia. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
