Hmm, these are good ideas. It reminds me of Amber in that the need for stats, levels, dice, etc... seem sort of optional as role playing took on full importance. In a system like that, a 20 player party can exist because the need for experience points goes down. That seems to be the biggest limitation in a D&D based RPG. Maybe a perpetual online game like in an Everquest style might be best to impliment these ideas. It might be too much for single player...
