that's why you should never store stuff on the floor anywhere. if you don't want it stolen, stash it in a container somewhere. My personal favorite was the table between Ikert and Rayic Gethras' house in the docks. Rayic's house allows a free rest, and Ikert will buy everything. non-vital items left on the floor decay after only 2 game days!
