My computer keeps getting kicked off the internet, but the cable light remains constantly on. However, the data flow light does slow down on the modem, and on the PC, the red flashing light also stops flashing...as if the problem is with my PC and not my internet. I run all the bug checks with Adaware, Spybot, MRU Blaster, HijackThis, and make sure they are up to date. I defragment. I reboot. Then I go to Symantec's website where they let you get scanned for free. I go there at least once a month anyway, and I have always been able to get scanned. Well...the scan will not work this time, as I get a message that says that I have to have IE 5.0 or higher with ActiveX and scripting enabled. I do not have these things turned off, so wtf?
By the way...thier security scan does work...just the virus scan will not function.
