I completed IWD with this party complete and ALIVE:
Dwarven Fighter, Male x2
Half-Elven Ranger, Male
Half-Elven Cleric/Ranger, Female
Half-Elven Cleric, Female
Half-Elven Mage/Thief, Female
Had everybody equiped w/bows except for the Clerics and very rarely had to switch to melee weapons to fight less than 3 creatures.
