All Paladins can use the sword. I think it's called Carsomyr or something close to that.

It IS possible, but it isn't legit. While the game is starting, and the screen is black, PAUSE the game. After this, click 'I' to open your inventory. Drop any items that you want your character to keep, and keep any in your inventory that you do not want.
