It varies as to the nationality of the lighthouse (Canadian, Spanish, and even an American lighthouse off the coast of North Carolina) and the identity of the aircraft carrier changes from the Missouri (which is actually a battleship), the Enterprise, the Nimitz and the Abraham Lincoln. The incident allegedly occurred in 1995 but it can trace it's roots back to a 1931 cartoon.

I've even heard a version where the Navy voices are dubbed in Russian.
