It just says 'a group of individuals', not friends. They were probably just fellow geeks that had associations with him, and a huge cash reward is a huge cash reward. So, beware of who you go blabbing about your criminal activities to on the internet!

Yeah, true. He obviously has some sort of gift for computer programming. Microsoft would be fools to not utilise his abilities to further strengthen their company.
