Well Grazkahr Your right as to why they do it but wrong about the export. In BG 1 and ToSC I had a 20th lvl Mage (Even higher than in BG2) and he imported fine but at 17th. They have more than the cap programed into the game it is just they put a cap there so when the add o0n comes out they can raise it. Thanks to TeamBG though we can go up to about 100,000,000 Exp (highest I have found that you can put exp before you have load crashing).
