Good idea, we had a LaCie hard drive at work and it seriously broke in 2 weeks. Went beserk and wouldnt recognise anymore, plus it was noisy and expensive.
Though they got a thumbs up from me for service, too bad the drive itself sucked.
I do own an external LaCie DVD burner though which has been ok.
