With transparent animations there certainly seems to be. Take a look at armagedon272's now transparentised signature... I seem to remember you saying making it transparent in Fireworks makes it alot bigger (to the point of pushing the filesize restriction). I count... 2.1 kb . Wow. [img]tongue.gif[/img] Ergo, one of these three things must be true:
1) You didn't try to compress it when you exported with a transparency.
2) Fireworks' compression algorithms aren't as good as the ones used to compress armageddon's transparent sig.
or
3) You're lying about the size difference.

Now, I think I know which you will be more likely to agree with.
