What really strikes me is the immaturity of todays crackers (not hackers - hackers are the "good" guys). When I got into trouble on the timeshare machine, the worst I ever did was waste a box of lineprinter paper (man, did the sysop ever get pissed over that! I guess his budget was a difficult thing... Nowadays, they deliberately design virii to bring down network servers "for fun" and don't think twice about the consequences or cost.
