This is a nice place. But you know what it's missing?
A huge bunch of evil scum ransacking it.
Wouldn't it be great? Like, you'd have big, burly blokes in chain mail and furs smashing pews and knocking over Aerie-shapes statues, stealing anything made of gold (several golden oscar-like Aerie idols would appear on the Athkatla Black Market!) and generally burning the place on their way out. You'd have the bleached-blonde, anorexic priestesses all wailing and frightened and pressed in a corner, but not too tightly pressed because they HATE it when someone invades their personal space; the effeminate, New Man priests would pause in their flower arranging only to have their heads lopped off by the aforementioned scum; and a good time would be had by all.
You'd have to rebuild the place until we could do it again, but I'm sure we would wait. Who wants to do some ransacking?
