That, as I said depends on your value system. If you place patriotism above morality, then yes. If your desire to see a rapist get what was coming to him overrode your patriotic spirit, then no.

That's what I mean about your values determining insult. If unpatriotic behaviour is the vilest sin in the land to you, you will find being called such offensive. If pragmaticism overrides patriotism, you are going to feel comfortable with the odd "unpatriotic" tag.

I know plenty of Aussies who for various reasons will support another team playing Australia. The reasons range from supporting the underdog (an Aussie trait) wanting a well fought series, or going for their homeland.

Are they being unpatriotic? Sure
Do they care? Nope.
